Hello, my name is Ali Tomlinson and I am a clinical Solution Focused Therapist as well as being a qualified trainer able to deliver workshops for groups of up to 20 people. I have obtained a recognised, fully accredited national diploma as a Hypnotherapy Practitioner – a qualification which only 20% of practising Hypnotherapists currently hold in the UK. I trained using the methodology of the famous Clifton Practice (CPHT) in Bristol, who use the only hypnotherapy based treatment to be based on scientific study – Solution focused Therapy.
I worked in Elderly Care for many years, up to management level. This was followed by 8 years with Children’s Services in Cambridgeshire County Council. When I was made redundant in 2016 I already knew my vocation would be in mental health and as always, helping others.
Alongside my therapy practice I now also work as a lecturer for CPHT Bristol who I trained through, and with whom I am now training the next generation of Solution Focused Hypnotherapists.
I live and work in St Neots in Cambridgeshire, but am happy to travel to see clients if there is a genuine reason why they can’t get to me. Due to the nature of the therapy it is possible to work with Clients online using such apps as Skype or Facetime, and I would encourage clients to do so as I have seen no discernible difference in the quality of therapy whilst operating online throughout the pandemic. This presents a way for clients to access the therapy from the comfort of their own homes, which can be an appealing offer in these unpredictable times.
I truly believe that this is a spectacular therapy which should be shared with as many people as possible. I am exceedingly passionate about my work which is always very confidential, sympathetic, and positive.
We go to Dentists, Chiropractors, Chiropodists, etc. on a regular basis. But we ignore our mental health, sometimes to our own detriment. I believe that maintaining our mental wellbeing should be as normal as any other aspect of our health.

we only have one.”
